Lassale is best known for their Calibre 1200, the thinnest in the world at that time. It was invented by Pierre Mathys in 1970 and brought to Lassale in 1975. It caused a sensation for a few years, before Lassale went bankrupt and was acquired by Seiko Group in 1979.
Seiko built on the foundations Lassale laid by creating several variations of the Lassale including this ultra thin model. These watches were designed to be sleek, comfortable and reliable quartz watches. This watch features a stainless steel gold plated case, copper dial with yellow gold hour markers, date wheel at 3 O'clock and a leather bracelet.
