Tissot, and many other manufacturers, employed the ESA 9162 movement in their watches. In the case of Tissot, these watches were called Tissonics. The ESA 9162 is often considered the “Rolls Royce” of tuning fork movements. It was designed by Max Hetzel, who had previously worked for Bulova and was also responsible for the Accutron 214. These watches come in several different designs and keep great time.
