Rolex Stainless Steel Sky-Dweller With A Blue Dial. dated March 2022.
With Box and Papers
Model No.326934
The Sky-Dweller was first released in 2012 and currently houses the most complex mechanical movement Rolex has ever made. The Sky-Dweller displays the time in two time zones simultaneously and has an annual calendar. The reference time, in 24-hour format, is shown via an off-centre disc, and the local time is read using conventional centre hands.
The Sky-Dweller made its debut at Baselworld 2012 as the first completely new Rolex model in 20 years (since the Yacht-Master‘s launch in 1992). As such, it wasn’t surprising that there was plenty of buzz surrounding the release of the Sky-Dweller. The Sky-Dweller sports a large (for Rolex) 42mm Oyster case but it is emphatically not a sports watch like the Submariner, Daytona, or GMT-Master. The dial of the Sky-Dweller indicates the time via the center hands, the date through the window at 3 o’clock, and the month by the small rectangular windows next to the hour markers (where January is next to 1, February is next to 2, March is next to 3, and so on). Plus, there’s also a second time zone displayed by a red arrow pointing to a 24-hour disc placed slightly off-center on the dial. Designed for frequent travelers in mind, the idea is to have the 24-hour disc display home time (aka reference time) and the center hands display local time. Protecting the dial is a scratchproof sapphire crystal, topped with the familiar Cyclops date magnification lens.
This watch is pre-owned and unworn and may show signs of wear.
