Condition of the piece is quite good. The case back does show some signs of it's age with tooling marks from case tools and the normal wear patterns of being slid across a table. The rest of the case has minimal wear with small break in the plating on the backside of the case at 3 o'clock.

 

Due to the incredible accuracy of the Accutron Movements the 214 was the first to be certified for Railroad use and later in US government and military satellite clocks. A Bulova Accutron model also accompanied the Apollo 15 astronauts to the moon and was worn on the 3rd excursion on the surface. These models have incredible accuracy and are incredibly quiet to wear, unlike most battery operated movements which have a rather resounding tick, this Bulova hums.
