Rolex unveiled the first GMT-Master in 1955, designed specifically for Pan American airline pilots. Along with the traditional 12-hour hand on its dial, the GMT-Master also featured a 24-hour hand, which in conjunction with the rotating 24-hour bezel, could display another time zone.

This Rolex GMT Master II 16710 was in production from 1989 until 2007. The GMT Master II 16710 was powered by the Rolex calibre 3185 automatic movement with GMT and date functions.
